SSL VPN 

SSL VPNs are an alternative to a client based VPN solution. A SSL VPN connection enables a remote user to access internal information while the traffic between the client workstation and the end point is encrypted. The advantage that an SSL VPN has over a traditional VPN is the fact that it is not necessary to install client software on the remote machine.
